Quart sherry barrel

STYLE: Quadrupel
Do you still remember our Quart that we introduced to you at the end of 2021? Yes?! Now, one year later, we present you that same Quart, but this time aged in a barrel in which Sherry wine was previously aged.
Why a Sherry barrel, you may ask yourself? Sherry wines are in general not so popular, unfortunately also not well appreciated in the world of gastronomy. It is a group of fortified wines that have a creamy, soft, but still intense taste. With long aging, Quart brought the best out of the barrel, and that is why the pleasant caramel, woody, and even smoky notes can be felt.
Due to its intense flavour and aroma, the 14.5% alcohol becomes completely unnoticeable. Its warmness and smokiness will remind you of a fine Islay single malt whiskey.
This beer goes well with red meat, steak, stews, duck, smoked and aged cheese.
