The Smith

STYLE: American pale ale
Wild West: Billy’s story moves on and features Billy’s first victim, Frank “The Smith” Cahill.

The Smith was a bully who picked on Billy the Kid. However, one day, after a few beers, he went a little too far with the bullying. This was followed by The Smith hitting Billy hard and knocking him to the ground. Billy panicked and pulled out his gun, shot The Smith, and then fled to New Mexico. Whether Billy overreacted or The Smith deserved what he got, that is to remain a mystery and part of the legend.

Be that as it may, we know The Smith stayed lying wounded on the ground, fighting for his life – you should hurry and grab him while he’s still alive!

The hops used for The Smith are Talus, Lemondrop, and HBC 630. This resulted in a pleasantly fruity, citrusy, and even slightly sweet note. Mild caramel malts coming from Viking, Carabody, and Cara 30 contribute to the toasty and nutty flavour of this beer. The final result is a classic, well-balanced American Pale Ale of which The Smith himself would be proud!
