Mrzljak is a collab brew made by Igor Koledić and Tomo Fulir, owners of the well-known homebrew store and webshop Brewshop, and our Mlinarica team. The beer was named after the spring on Medvednica mountain, the spring that turns into a stream and then flows ending in Markuševac. Igor and Tomo used the water from the Mrzljak spring for their first home brews.

In terms of style, Mrzljak is a Stice Altbier. Altbier is a traditional German beer style created in Düsseldorf, and Sticke Altbier is its stronger version, which immediately means stronger flavours and aromas. We hopped Mrzljak with a larger amount of Tettnanger hops, which gave us pleasant, spicy and floral aromas that are perfectly complemented by the malty, bready and mild caramel flavours that come from special types of malt.
